with a top lift station at 3226 metres - includes
a snowboarders' half-pipe and 'fun-park'
and over 120 miles of
marked pistes, together with extensive off-piste
runs and cross-country routes. It is supported
by 78 lifts, some of which start only a few
metres from the apartment building, including
a gondola that will whisk you up to the bottom
of the cable-car for Aiguille Rouge.
This all adds
up to superb door-to-door skiing for
all grades!
The ski schools are all
excellent for both adults and children alike,
(our two children learned to ski and snowboard
very successfully at the local E.S.F.) as
are the facilities for children of all ages,
with free lift passes up to 6 years of age
and reduced rates for 6 to 13 year olds.
There is a nursery/crèche organised
and run by the E.S.F. for children from 3
to 6 years of age which incorporates skiing
instruction if required. There are baby minding
and baby-sitting services available for younger
children on request.
Lift passes are available to cover, among
others, the nearby resorts of Val D'Isere,
Tignes, La Plagne and La Rosiere but we've
found there's more than enough skiing at
Les Arcs to keep us occupied so far!
